Friday, 30 September. As we were invited to our partner school Institut Nicolau Copèrnic to give a presentation about our Barcelona experience, today starts off a bit differently. Instead of commuting to Sabadell, our journey leads us to Terrassa, a Catalan city about 25 kilometers from Barcelona.
Having arrived at the institution, we are giving 15 minutes long presentations to each of two student groups, all of them being potential candidates for a future work placement taking place in Austria the following year. Our presentation includes some information about our school in Austria, our leisure activities in Barcelona and of course the work placement itself.
After finishing the presentations it’s time to say goodbye to Maria, our contact person during the whole stay and principal of INC. So the only remaining item on our agenda is passing the project’s documentation to our supervisor Antonio. Thus our work of the past four weeks is wrapped up and documented for further use.
Finally, we sit together with Toni recalling our experience of the previous month at ESDi as well as sharing our plans for the future. Moreover, we get to know some stories about Toni’s everyday work. However, the time has come to bid goodbye to Toni and his colleague Franc. We had a really great time working at ESDi and are grateful for this once in a lifetime opportunity to work here. We acquired so much precious experience for our future life in the month we spent here and are truly sad to finally say goodbye for good.
